The COVID-19 pandemic has upended the way we live and encouraged a more sedentary lifestyle, increasing the risk of obesity and chronic diseases. "Health Education Station" travels across the city to bring you a one-stop platform for complimentary medical check-ups. Registered medics answer residents’ enquiries and participants can also join our workshops covering different topics to enhance their health.

HKRC believes that all citizens should have equal and sufficient access to health care services. HKRC plans to continue providing the Mobile Health Education Station, offering complimentary medical check-ups to the public to improve their health and promote behavioral changes. We will extend community healthcare support to 6 beneficiary groups with limited access to primary healthcare, including people with disabilities and their carers, singleton/doubleton elderly, multi-cultural communities, low-income families, and socially isolated people. Meanwhile, we plan to upscale our disease-based early screening services to cover various items, including lipid profiles, kidney functions, haemoglobin levels, intraocular pressure and so on, which are of high importance in identifying the onset of different chronic illnesses as well as relative complications. One-on-one professional medical consultation will be provided to screened high-risk participants. Relevant data will be collected and analyzed through a computer system at the station for health advocacy purposes.

Furthermore, extended services, such as home modification for the elderly and social activities, will be organized to promote home safety and social cohesion.
