Hong Kong faces high risks of natural disasters, such as typhoons, rainstorms, and heatwaves. Climate change will intensify rainfall, tropical cyclones, and sea-level rise, leading to severe storm surges and flooding.

In Hong Kong, there are still many residents living in high-risk areas, including low-lying, coastal, and landslide-prone regions. These areas include Pokfulam Village, Cha Kwo Ling Village, Sai Kung, Tai O, and North District, among others. They constantly face the impact of various disasters, and both their lives and properties are at risk.

To enhance community resilience and readiness for disasters, HKRC provides services in high-risk districts, including mitigation supplies, first aid training, disaster preparedness workshops, strengthen community mutual support, drills, and evacuation planning.

To enhance residents' awareness and capacity to respond to disasters, aiming to reduce casualties and property losses when disasters occur.
